Atmospheric entry and space trails

Atmospheric worlds extend to 5,000m. Entry starts at 50 m/s. The upper atmosphere has a 100 m/s limit; below 800m the maximum is 450 m/s. The cap eases down over 600–800m before entering the upper band. You keep control throughout entry and exit, and reentry causes no damage.

Descend below 800m to use Land on atmospheric worlds. Plasma is strongest at 1,500–1,000m, fades toward 800m and disappears below it. Exit effects are subtler. Ship Trails in Space can be switched off independently in Settings.

Guest Mode

Choose Play as Guest to explore without an account. Inventory, currencies and world edits are temporary and disappear when this page closes. Tutorial completion and tips preferences are remembered on this device.

Guests can read Global Chat, search public profiles and see online status. Sending messages, friends, private or party chats, daily rewards and cloud saves require an account. Use the account icon to log in or sign up. Your member save replaces temporary guest progress.

Launch and travel

  1. Sign in, then press Launch while seated at the launch pad.
  2. Keep flying upward until you leave the celestial body's atmosphere. Warp is available in space.
  3. Open Universe Map. Choose a star system from the system selector, or search for a world by name.
  4. Select a body, then Lock Destination. Press P or the Warp button, check the cost and confirm.
  5. For a nearby destination use Approach. When you enter a landable body, press Land for a guided descent.

Earth warp is free. Other routes use FP and sometimes RC. Sell resources at Earth's Trade building to earn currency. Stars have no landing surface; moons and solid planets do. Gas giants have atmospheric flight but no solid ground.

Other systems and routes

Use the system selector for Proxima, TRAPPIST-1, nearby stars, galaxies and generated systems. All systems lists every destination. Use Add to Route to queue destinations, then start your route from More → Route.

The map is a schematic view: distances are compressed. Drag to orbit, pinch or scroll to zoom; Pan moves the view. Fit System restores the overview. Gameplay continues while the map is open.

On foot and resources

Use WASD or the left thumbstick to walk. Use Shift or the Run icon to run; Space or the right Jump icon to jump. Return to your ship to board. Equip a pickaxe to mine, collect resources, then visit crafting or the Earth Trade building.

Selling resources and crafting award XP. Purchases do not award crafting XP. The XP bar shows your level; the maximum level is 10,000. Inventory and currencies save to your account. Use Save Data for a manual save.

Chat and settings

Use Global Chat for players in this gameplay session, and Party & Friends for direct and group chats. The message ⋯ menu contains edit/delete/report actions. Images open in a black viewer: drag to move, pinch or scroll to zoom, double-click to reset.

Settings → Global Chat Size resizes only global chat. Terrain Decorations switches grass and terrain texture details on or off; reduce graphics quality or terrain size for smoother play on slower devices.
